Space Available Program
Available Only to Owners Participating in the Steamboat Grand Rental Management Program
There will be a $10 reservation fee for every Space Available reservation booked.
One of the benefits of being a part of the Steamboat Grand Rental Management Program is the Space Available Program (commonly known as “Space A”). This wonderful program provides you the opportunity to stay at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel & Condominiums during eighth or quarter weeks other than the eighth or quarter week of units you own. This program has been expanded to provide owners or two or more intervals the possibility of staying on “Space A” during any eighth or quarter weeks of their ownership, as long as all other guidelines are met.
“Space A” is generally available when occupancy is less than ninety percent (90%) anticipated occupancy during the desire reservation period and is always at the discretion of the Hotel General Manager, regardless of occupancy. If all requirements are met when you request Space A, you will be place in a unit comparable or smaller to the one you have purchased. You must be active participants in the nightly rental program in order to be eligible for the Space Available Program at the Steamboat Grand.
You may stay for up to three (3) nights in the “Space A” unit, and if you would like to extend your visit, and occupancy percentage and hotel management allow, you may stay an additional three (3) nights in another unit, totaling no more than six (6 consecutive nights). The computerized reservation system assigns rooms for Space Available according to a point system, preventing any one unit from being used more than another, thus creating even and fair distribution of room assignments.
After you use Space A for a total of six (6) consecutive nights, three (3) nights must pass before you may use Space A again. A Housekeeping set-up charge will apply for each room change during the Space Available stay. Standard late check-out fees will apply for departures after the 11:00am departure time for “Space A” reservations. If you are able to extend your stay beyond the first three nights in another reservations, you may make arrangements through the hotel front desk to have a bellman store your belongings until the next unit is available for check-in. Please note that check-in time is 4:00pm, however if a room is available prior to 4:00pm, you will be allowed to check-in earlier during this “Space A” room move. Note: There is no yearly cap or limit on the number of “Space A” reservations an owner may make.

The benefit of “Space A” usage is limited to owners of record and their immediate family members. Immediate family members are defined as: spouse, children, parents, stepparents, and grandparents. Reservation requests will be accepted from the owner(s) of record only. Family members eligible for Space A should be listed in your Rental Management Agreement. Guests may accompany owners on Space A, however, guests may not check-in without owner and owner must check-out at end of stay.
Please notify the Steamboat Grand Owner Service if you cannot keep your Space Available Reservation. For cancellations, if the Owner Services Office is unavailable, please call the Steamboat Grand Hotel Front Desk at 970-871-5500. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Additional information on the Space Available program may be found in the Steamboat Grand Rental Management Agreement. The “Space A” option is available to owners in good standing with the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation. Note: You are an owner in good standing when all applicable fees, charges, dues, and assessments (if any) are paid up to date for your unit(s). Future Space Available privileges may be denied to owners who have violated the terms of the Space Available Policy.

Limited Room Types Only:
February 2012: 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27
Approaching 90% occupancy:
February 2012: 16, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26
March 2012: 1, 2, 3, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16
